I started working at CAIN as a student filling my hours for a practicum. I performed a myriad of tasks for CAIN and quickly became their "handyman" around the pantry doing the jobs that most others didn't want to do. Working at CAIN and interacting with the guests has really given me the opportunity to love people that I otherwise would never have met. One thing that struck me about the organization was how well it made use of its resources. The staff at CAIN is always thinking up new ways to increase efficiency, how they can better serve their guests and also how they can love the people that they serve all the more. It has been an emmense blessing for me to serve CAIN both for my practicum hours at school, but also for my soul.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the ways that they handle their guests. Every guest is treated with respect, humility, and honesty. The staff at CAIN are always very helpful to their guests, at least in the capacity that they are able to. Every staff member wants to do everything that they can to help the guests at CAIN and this is so present that the guests can feel it and because of it they value their time at CAIN.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would likely devote some more volunteer time to organizing the clothing distribution at the shelter. Frequently we run into situations where we don't know what we have to give to guests and it can be pestering at times. It still moves along, but efficiency could definitely be improved.
