Review for Brain Rehabilitation And Injury Network (B.R.A.I.N.), Cypress, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Brain is a loving home. These days, especially these days, homes are chaotic. To be more blunt, some people don’t have homes as evidenced by the homeless epidemic and even those who have homes a lot of the time are filled with addiction and emotional turmoil. To be completely honest, BRAIN is filled with people who have emotional turmoil, but you know what? They use their emotional turmoil to love others and take care of themselves. BRAIN is a place where everyone is loved and accepted, a come as you are place, though they don’t stay that way. They change into people who still have flaws, but are willing to work on them through therapy and relationship. A lot of survivors are lonely and need connection. Their bodies are broken, but their hearts are just as broken. Sometimes their families and friends abandon them and they need a safe place to heal. BRAIN is that place, a home. People complain about the government a lot and it’s intrusion into our lives like with covid, but BRAIN is funded through donors like me and you. They are totally independent and have the freedom to love people with a radical love that government run organizations can’t do. I’m not sure I can say this, but BRAIN is faith-based place with many people who have a strong faith in a higher power. You don’t have to believe in a higher power to come to BRAIN, but everyone who has come, regardless of belief or political system, regardless of whether there even is a higher power, has seen the effects of what people of faith can bring on society. Ultimately, and this is debatable, everyone who has come to BRAIN has the single goal in mind of creating a special place to come to, a home.
