While a pandemic would stop many prison ministries, not so for Kairos! There has been increased communications and training put out from our home office - all intended to have the volunteer prepared and ready to serve once allowed to go back into the prisons. Kairos has multiplied their training tools 10 fold! The website for volunteers is outstanding, easy to navigate and full of helpful information. Even during a pandemic, God has used the staff and volunteers of Kairos to further His Kingdom.

Sharing the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to those impacted by incarceration is seen through the actions of Kairos volunteers. This ministry transforms the lives of the intended audience as well as the volunteers. The programs for incarcerated men, women, youth and the women suffering from incarcerated loved ones are systematic in learning about themselves, the forgiveness of Christ and how to move forward. The continuing ministry encourages accountability. Again, something that benefits the audience but also the volunteer to model this behavior. Kairos has been a part of my life for over 10 years and God willing, there will be another 10 years.
