I have been fortunate to lead the Farmers to Families Food Box Program with PRRU and it has a transforming experience for me because it has allowed us to help people in need on the island in so many different ways, including my hometown, Guánica. It has been a very rewarding experience seeing people smiles and it has been a healing experience for me as well in the midst of earthquakes, COVID-19,. racism protest, flooding, among other events happening in the world. Finally, through this initiative, I have been able to empower other community leaders, provide advice, and mentor them throughout the process as well as getting to know better other PRRU leaders. We can do much more together and we trust each other, and PRRU has provided me a venue to accomplish that. I am grateful for this opportunity and I would like to THANK YOU PRRU CEO, Dr. Karen Caraballo, for allowing me to be part of this amazing organization and trusting in me.
