Best Foot Forward is nothing short of a miracle! After a 43 year career as a teacher and principal, I have seen the very best and worst of education. Even with the best of intentions, children who didn’t fit the mold fell through the cracks, especially those who were burdened by being in the foster system. A few years ago, I was given the privilege to work with Debbie Ellman and Donna DiBiasi as a tutor for BFF. These women perceived a need and began to fill an enormous gap for foster children by meeting their educational needs through tutoring, on-going communication with teachers, and by providing the tools necessary for success. Moreover, they became the nurturing family most of these students never had. Every birthday is remembered; every holiday is celebrated. These incredible women make a difference in the lives of hundreds of students each year. Best Foot Forward is nothing short of a miracle!
