Review for Canine Assisted Therapy, Inc., Oakland Park, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I feel very blessed to be a part of this organization. Our visits not only fill the residents or patients at the various facilities we visit with joy, but are also extremely fulfilling for me and my dog, Endo.

CATDogs helps us coordinate visits and ensures we are given the support and continued training we need to be the best volunteers possible.

This by far has been the most rewarding organization that I have been a part of. They truly support their volunteers with organizing visits as well as continued education which helps us be our best in difficult situations.

I've always wanted to have a therapy dog and when I finally had the right dog for the job, CAT recommended to me by our trainer. It's been great to have an organization that helps provide facilities that want therapy teams to come visit. This saves me the confusion of searching for facilities that I could go to. They send a calendar of events and we chose the ones that fit our schedule. They make volunteering so easy.

Canine Assisted Therapy is a great organization. My dog and I have been a therapy team for less than a year. The events and visits we have been able to participate in are life changing. When you see a dementia patient light up bc your dog looks like the one her family recently lost or a sick child sit up and want to pet your dog, it makes you feel like your doing something special. I've had many dogs and have always wanted to train them to be a therapy dog. I'm glad I finally made the time commitment to go through the process. It has truly been a rewarding experience. And the fact that CATDogs helps us by providing continuing education and opportunities for volunteering is a great help for those of that don't have the time to search them out. They have even take on covid head on by pivoting to include virtual therapy via their TeleDog program.
