I'll be honest, at first, the idea of 'getting a service dog' was exciting bc I didn't realize how hard I'd have to work, which changed the idea of 'getting' to 'earning' for me. During my 2.5 years of training I learn a lot about dog and, surprisingly, myself.
Never in my life did I imagine owning a Collie but I wouldn't trade my SD Daytona for anything in this world. Off the clock, he's nothing but a big love bug and on occasion drives my absolutely nuts but on the job, he is nearly perfect!
Most people only see him picking things up off the ground for me, or standing beside me at the cashier at a store but what they don't know is that I can, due to my equilibrium being damaged, I get dangerously light headed much quicker than most if I drop my head or that when he's 'standing' next to me, he leans against me to hold me steady.
My world would be a very different, more hazardous place without him.

Fido's has changed my life in so many ways that I can't thank them enough. My SD, Daytona, helps me stay safe everywhere we go and not a single person is left unimpressed when he's around!

My name is Delaney, I am a client at Fidos For Freedom and have been for 5+ years now. Fidos is a wonderful amazing group who are not only genuine and honest with their clients but also meticulously thorough with the dogs as far ensuring their abilities, their safety/health, and making sure that as ownership of said dog is transferred, their new owner handler understands the gravity of those concepts as well.
Delaney, The two of you are great ambassadors for Fidos and service dog teams everywhere. Thank you for your support.
