Review for Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation, Culver City , CA, USA
It's a lot of commitment to adopt a pet and I have loved rabbits my whole life. I just wasn't sure I wanted the responsibility, so I followed LA Rabbits online for a long time before considering adopting a pet from them.
When they posted a picture of three nameless rabbits that had suffered abuse it broke my heart. They said a bonded trio would be harder to place, and preferably going to someone that would give them enough space to heal from whatever trauma they endured.
I went to see them & was pleased that I was being vetted as a good fit for them as much as if the bunnies would be for me. The woman that runs the rescue offered ongoing advice on supportive care, vets, and countless knowledge on how to address their specific needs. It's obviously a cause very dear to the heart of everyone involved in this organization.
Those rabbits (Larry, Moe, & Curly) & the one I recently fostered to adopt (Mr. Bubbles) have meant so much to me. This is a beautiful foundation. The work they are doing to educate everyone about the dangers of the rabbit hemorrhagic disease is absolutely essential & saving lives. I was able to get my bunnies vaccinated and warn others in time to protect their babies. I have so much gratitude for the LA Rabbit Foundation.
