Review for Ecumenical Hunger Program, East Palo Alto, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Worked with them for a couple of years when they had to move from the space they were renting. Throughout the process of designing a usable space for themselves and their clients, they were concerned mainly for the people they served. They thought only about the needs of the people in the community and what would work best for distributing food and clothing. All the people in the organization pulled together and volunteered their time and money to help.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have helped serve food baskets at Christmas and Thanksgiving. It has always gone smoothly and organized so that everyone got served with plenty of food.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make sure that the main organizer was someone from the community that really had compassion and first hand experience, like Nevida Butler and her daughter.

Role:  Donor & Designed two new buildings for their services.
