southern illinois coalition for the homeless
Review for Corporation For Supportive Housing, New York, NY, USA
The Corporation for Supportive Housing Institute is THE reason the Southern Illinois Coalition for the Homeless is now in the final steps in building permanent supportive housing for reentry folks. CSI is not only a source of every type of knowledge you need to build supportive housing, but their staff also helps you solidify your concept, develop partnerships, personally encourages you, and provides capacity funds for start up. I have always felt comfortable asking CSH for help in every step of our development, a continuing relationship for the past three years.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I have received capacity money for a consultant to help us write the funding grant, hire an architect, and choose a contractor. I learned so much at the Institute from speakers, funding sources, other projects. I also really enjoyed the staffand team comaraderie that helped me feel comfortable in the new construction/housing devlopment arena.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Make sure they could reach more areas needing development expertise in southern Illinois.
