I worked for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in Alabama for over 30 years. For 15 years, I worked animal cases which consisted of cruelty to animal cases, killing of animals on owners property, theft of animal cases, and any crimes involving animals. I can recall several cases that I enlisted the help of Stolen Horse International, Inc. Some of those cases were stolen horses, horses that were missing, and some estrays that I impounded with no known owner. Stolen Horse International was always there with any assistance that they could provide from providing the flyers that I could post in each respective case to the circulation of the information in theses cases across the country since thieves have no boundaries. I was very successful in the recover of animals and the prosecution of the offenders due to the assistance provided me by Stolen Horse International, Inc. Some of these past cases made news across the country and I was even honored by the ASPCA in 2007 but a great deal of the honor is due to Stolen Horse International, Inc. I retired in 2018 and this organization was one of the first sources of information that I passed onto my successor. I am very grateful to all the help they provided and will always recommend them to everyone in the law enforcement community. I have tried to give back to this organization in an advisory role whenever I can, based on my experience in this field.
