We got our dog almost 3 years ago now and she is our best friend. We were looking for a new dog because our beloved dog of 14 years had recently passed. Our boys were excited because they didn't choose our old dog she was already a part of our family. We did research online (looking at pictures, etc.) before visiting the shelter. Our youngest saw the picture of Allie (formerly Millie) online and said, " That's the dog I want!" I wasn't so sure because she was quite a bit larger than our old dog but she won us all over when we met her. The shelter had a wonderful play area where we were able to get to know her before making our final decision. We bought a larger kennel (our old one was too small) for our drive home and when we brought it inside the shelter she just walked right in. She was all smiles and the smiles have continued ever since.
