I have been a member of FFRF for many years and attend all the conventions I possibly can. They have a terrific legal team and they actually make their conventions fun! They do more with their dollars than any non-profit I can think of and truly make an effort to address my number one concern, which is the deterioration of the separation between church and state, which is constantly being gnawed at by the right wing.
