My Nonprofit Reviews

Greg Hoffman
Review for Roots Of Peace, San Rafael, CA, USA
As a person investing in and developing green alternatives, I am eager to support organizations that are not only aiding our world environment ecologically, but socially and humanely. Roots of Peace removes land mines, and aids farmers to grow sustainable profitable crops. The organization also builds schools and soccer fields for the children in these war torn countries.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Impressive support from our US government and other foreign countries.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would continue the effective work being done in Afghanistan, while assessing how to maximize the internet and successfully raise more funds and awareness to allow for growth of projects in Cambodia, Vietnam and Angola.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Feeling that my contributions are going to make a difference.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Knowledgeable, experienced and committed to eradicating land mines and helping communities in war torn countries achieve livelihoods, pride and hope.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Greatly reduce the number of land mines, opium poppies in Afghanistan while assisting in the planting of over a million crop trees, establishing storage for the crops and continue developing trade with other nations. Aiding significantly in the redevelopment of Afghanistan in a green manner.
Ways to make it better...
If I felt the organization could afford to expand it's offices and staff to further grow and execute the goal of Roots of Peace.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Funds to expand their effective program of "De-mine, Replant, Rebuild"
One thing I'd also say is that...
Roots of Peace started in 1997. Since then the organization has grown in recognition and achievement. I am confident it will continue to grow.
