Review for The Sato Project, Brooklyn, NY, USA
Where do I begin? We adopted Lita in August of 2017 from the Sato Project. She came from Puerto Rico with more than 200 other adult and senior dogs. From having to fill out a lengthy, in-depth application, to a home visit before we were OK’d as adopters, to follow-up inquiries after Lita’s arrival, to all kinds of great advice while she was with us, the folks involved with the Sato Project are remarkable. From Chrissy Beckles (the founder) to the myriad volunteers who help make it all happen, there is love and respect shown to every rescued dog. We sadly lost Lita very recently, but I’ve since helped out with the most recent transport of dogs from PR and will continue to do so. I want to give back to the organization that gave me and my husband the most loving dog ever!
