I’ve been working with this organization as an associate for 6 years now. I cannot begin to express the absolute joy I get to see on the heroes faces when they harvest their first animal or catch their first fish while on a trip with WWIAF. The camaraderie and healing powers of nature and hunting are only surpassed by the event hosts, guides, and local communities love and support for these heroes. I hope I get to continue to work with this organization for as long as possible to guide other heroes on these amazing events

I was transitioning from active duty to civilian life and needed an outlet and hobby to keep me preoccupied… the outdoors and hunting called to me. I was flown out by WWIA to wisconsin for a fishing and hunting event and met up with fellow Purple Heart veterans and an amazing community who reaffirmed my love for the out doors and provided me with lifelong friends and a means to cope with my experiences overseas!

An amazing fishing trip on Lake Erie catching walleye . The hosts were amazing and the volunteers Treated us veterans like family... the boats and accommodations were world class and the food was great. The entire community of Ashtabula Ohio were warm and welcoming! I can’t wait to go back
