We had been without a dog for 18 months, when a former colleague posted a message on Facebook about a dog she had adopted from The Humane Society of McCormick County. This set me to thinking about adopting another pet. I got in contact with Jeannie Kocik to see what pets were available and finally she mentioned “little Lillie”. We went up to McCormick to see her and she was indeed little (but is no more). We brought her back as foster parents and eventually adopted her officially on March 10, 2020.

Since she has been a part of our family she has grown tremendously and is very well behaved. She especially enjoys the back yard and loves her walks here in Hitchcock Woods (Aiken, SC). We had a DNA test done on her and found she is 50% Pit Bull and 50% Retriever, probably lab. She is doing well at home and has been to dog training. Right now she can sit, drop and leave alone.
