United Cerebral Palsy of Central PA has always been there for me, starting when I attended their pre-school! In 2007, I applied at and was accepted at Messiah College. I completed my degree work there, and it would not have been possible without the help and support of UCP. I was able to live on campus, and UCP provided not only my personal care attendants, but my academic facilitator as well.

The last two summers of college, I was asked to intern at UCP in the department of Marketing and Communication. The members of the UCP staff treated me as one of their own, valued my opinions, and even implemented a card fundraiser that I designed. I felt empowered and was thrilled to be a part of the working world.

After graduation, I was asked to join UCP's Community Development Committee, and I have enjoyed participating in it ever since. It has given me the chance to offer input regarding upcoming events and the opportunity to put my skills as a writer to good use.

I am grateful to be part of an organization that is so dedicated to ensuring "life without limits" includes everyone.
