Review for Institute For Fisheries Resources, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

The IFR continues to fight for sustainable fisheries and environmentally sound water policy. A devoted staff ensures that projects are followed through with, in order to achieve lasting results.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the Pacific Salmon Restoration Program, the Commercial Fishermen of America, and the Local and Seasonal Program.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

also collaborate internationally.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

highlighting the connection between ecosystem health and economic prosperity.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

actively engaged in the most recent issues.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

magnify its efforts on global fishery issues.

Ways to make it better...

this organization had more funding.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the IFR continues to catalyze progress.

Review for SalmonAID Foundation, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 4 stars

SalmonAid is a strong organization led by a creative collective of salmon stakeholders. The group continues to make significant advances in uniting and mobilizing environmental organizations, government agencies, fishermen, tribal groups, and the general public in the name of restored salmon runs.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the high attendance at SalmonAid 2008 and the continued devotion of board members.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

apply for additional grant money.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the opportunity to create real, positive change.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

devoted, passionate, creative, and positive.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach a much larger audience and make salmon recovery a household phrase.

Ways to make it better...

the organization had more funding.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the fizzling economy and the complexity of the salmon crisis.

One thing I'd also say is that...

GO SALMONAID!
