Review for Literacy Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
I've been Volunteering at GPLC for almost three years. I've been teaching an adult how to read. By now we've become friends. He's younger than I am, so I have a hook into what the younger people are thinking about. Since I have always done well in school, and like to read, this volunteer opportunity works well for me and is very convenient. I also spent some time teaching English to Pittsburgh residents who want to learn. They sent me out with another language instructor so I wasn't on my own. That experience was rewarding as well.

Gee..., I would wave my magic wand and shower more resources on GPLC to make sure the professional staff has what it needs to serve more people.
