Review for The Mended Hearts Inc, Leesburg, GA, USA
My story started in 2007 at the age of 72 with open heart surgery which resulted in replacing the mitral valve with a porcine mitral valve. .
Step forward to 2016. Had an irregular heart beat and could not take a blood thinner. A Watchman Device was inserted in me left atrial appendage to close it off.
Forward to 2018. The porcine mitral valve was failing. During the process of determining what could be done to fix this problem I had a blood infection which went to Sepsis.
After overcoming this the Cardiologist placed a Tri Catheter valve in the Porcine Mitral Valve. I am 85 and still walking and talking
In 2008, I became an accredited visitor. I must say this was a great decision. As I always feel better and more positive every time after visiting patients than before going in to visit.
