The store in Brooklyn where I've worked and supported for close to a decade closed down during the public health crisis to keep us all safe (& the governor said we had to). I wasn't quite sure how I was going to piece things together, but a coworker told me about the Binc Foundation pandemic support and encouraged me to apply. I didn't think anything would come of it, but it was an easy application so I did. A little while later I got a check for much more than I thought I might possible get and a nice note of support. It really made a difference for me. My thanks to the organization and the people that donated to support it. And also thanks for buying all the books I'm sure you've been buying to continue to support us booksellers. Keep your masks on and let's not rush to reopen!
