Review for World Impact Network (WIN), Bellevue, WA, USA

I have volunteered with WIN in the past, bringing Youth group kids to the food bank to help unpack and sort the food. We also helped clients during open hours of the food bank. The staff is very uplifting and encouraging. The youth really came away with a lot. I have also kept up-to-date on all of WIN's projects around the world. The training they gave the women in Uganda is an exceptional example. For 6 years, I think, WIN went to Uganda giving life and career skills training and watched the miracles of changed lives unfold! These women turned around and taught others and are now able to provide for their families. Another great example is the Youth Summer Camps they ran for local teens. The youth did community service projects, in and out side of the food bank. Often the youth were struggling in school and near dropping out. The staff and range of activities really built them up, they grew in self confidence and developed a good sense of self. It's been exciting seeing them years later as young adults, complete in college education and giving back to their communities. This an awesome organization to be involved in!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

watching youth kids grow in understanding, gratitude & compassion after volunteering. As well as seeing the personal develpment of youth involved in the summer camp program.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Get them more resources to do more for the local community and the world at large.

Role:  Volunteer & Organized Youth to volunteer at the food bank, organized a food drive with the Youth for the food bank. Volunteered in the food bank, unloading, sorting and helping clients of the food bank.
