My Nonprofit Reviews

Susan Allen Nan
Review for Chewonki Foundation Inc, Wiscasset, ME, USA
I loved co-leading a Chewonki-Alford Lake summer trip in 1992. Now, seventeen years after my Chewonki experience, I love that my 8 year old son is excited about starting camp at Chewonki this summer. One of the things he asked as we talked about his going to camp is if they would expect him to throw away plastic utensils-- of course they don't have plastic utensils ever at Chewonki! Composting toilets are another big attraction for my son!
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
raising awareness of environmental issues.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that my experience with Chewonki has indirectly influenced by son, who will get to go to Chewonki himself this summer.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
great!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
be an even more influential and widely known example of the possibilities for sustainable living and environmental stewardship.
Ways to make it better...
... I can't think of anything!
