Review for Society of St. Andrew, Big Island, VA, USA
The Society of St. Andrews(SOSA) is a fantastic organization who’s mission is to introduce people to God’s grace in Jesus Christ through meeting their hungers of food for the body, God’s word for the spirit, community of love for the heart, and opportunity for those who desire action. I have seen this mission fufilled in so many ways through my involvment with SOSA. It has been wonderful to know my church community and I are a part of the many people involved in collecting 15 million pounds of fresh, nutritious food for our hungry neighbors each year. What a wonderful accomplishment this organization has been able to facilitate! Knowing the less fortute in and around my community will be able to meet their most basic needs of nutrition, fills me with the spirit of God’s love. I know this same feeling is shared with those who receive these donations because I have been able to meet them face-to-face and see and hear their expressions of thankfulness. I would encourage anyone to be involved in The Society of St. Andrews because I feel strongly their mission is critial to caring for those less fortunate in our communities. Thank you to all who work and volunteer for this outstanding organization!

I’ve personally experienced the results of this organization through my volunteer experiences. This organization has garnered the phisical and spritual strenght of 30,000 individuals per year to share both food and God’s love to our less fortunate neighbors.

Because 95.5% of total support and revenue recieved by The Society of Saint Andrews’ goes directly to programs such as field gleaning, Harvest of Hope, and Potato and Produce. I would like to see an increase in support for this organization, so more dollars can go into these programs which can supporting more people in need of their donations.
