I made my second visit to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in February 2020 and spent two nights in the Siberian Suite on their beautiful property. Everyone was friendly and informative. The animals in their care were well fed and cared for. The staff educated me on why sanctuaries like this must exist since we have no federal regulations about owning big cats as pets. These animals were rescued from many different places, most of which were abusive and exploitive situations. TCWR is a GFAS Accredited sanctuary, which holds them to very high standards. I recently signed up to be a monthly supporter.
