Never in my wildest imagination would I think I would hear lions chuffing and roaring or a pack of wolves howling on the plains in eastern Colorado!! The Wild Animal Sanctuary provides an amazing life for all kinds of abused or surrendered animals with their large acre habitats, healthy food and veterinary care. The elevated walkway gives the public a chance to view the animals without causing stress for the animals. It is an amazing place to visit and their educational programs regarding privately owned and captive animals is outstanding. I gave 5 stars because The Wild Animal Sanctuary is all about the animals and their wellbeing. The animals and their care comes first, period.
