START does so much for animals. They transport thousands of dogs and cats from high risk shelters in Southern California to no-kill rescue organizations in the north west that don’t have the pet over-population we do here. They provide tens of thousands of free spay and neuter for pets and transport dogs in desperate condition from Mexico. Can’t say enough good about this organization!

START is by far one of my favorite animal charities and I know them all! I appreciate that dogs and cats are being rescued by this organization from high-kill shelters and transferred to sister no- kill shelters in the north west where they stand a much better chance of being adopted. Additionally they provide tons of spay and neuter surgeries, preventing thousands of unwanted births in a state inundated with homeless animals. Also this organization is very transparent.
