Felidae works to understand how wildlife live among us. I am a new volunteer, working from home to catalog images of animals (and many hiking/biking humans) captured by the Felidae motion-activated cameras. Where dozens of humans pass by every day, I’ve identified deer, bobcats, foxes, and even puma. Felidae uses the data to advise on placement of wildlife bridges, determine where signs should inform about wildlife encounters, and assess the impact of human presence. This wildlife lover, confined to home, is thrilled to be working for animals in such a useful, non-invasive way.
