My Unbound sponsorship began with a four year old girl in Western Honduras. She is now 20 and studying law. I have been providing her and her family support all these years. Now I provide a scholarship.

Women in villages in Honduras and elsewhere have no role models and their lives are programmed. Many end up pregnant too soon and in toxic relationships. A dead end life. What Unbound provides can’t be measured, really. The chance to work hard and get something in return.

These are fragile communities that are at the edge of society and vulnerable to corrupt governments, illness, and the ravages of nature.

I’ve gone three times to Honduras to spend time with my sponsored friend, her family, and her great supporters the Unbound staff. Because of Unbound she has a vision for herself, she is confident, and may achieve greatness.

It’s not often that an organization like Unbound gives you the opportunity to change a life. It sure changed mine.
