I'm familiar with Orang Utan Republik Foundation (OURF) and Dr. Gary Shapiro through my partner, who has been volunteering with the organization since 2016. Through her, I've learned so much about OURF's educational efforts to protect orangutans and rainforests, and projects within communities close to rainforests in North Sumatra, Indonesia.
