I was searching on Petfinder.com for my first dog. I had in mind a few breeds that I was searching for until I came upon Tippy’s (Lyanna) picture! I have had family dogs ever since I was a child but I recently got married and bought my first house and was ready to rescue/adopt my best friend.
Tippy (Lyanna) and her siblings were abandoned and in rough shape when they came to Speak. Tippy’s (Lyanna) brothers were quickly adopted but Tippy was very nervous and shy. She hopped around from foster homes and was adopted twice and returned. Then I met her! Speak gave her the second chance at life she deserved.
The first couple of months were challenging. Tippy would only walk into two rooms of the house. I had to carry her to go outside and I had to bring her food to her. It has taken her 6 months to come out of her shell but she is the most amazing girl in this world. You wouldn’t even recognize her! Speak gave me my best friend and I can’t thank them enough for everything they do.
