Review for Pug Hearts Houston Pug Rescue, Alvin, TX, USA
We have adopted 6 pugs from PugHearts since 2014. All of our pugs were treated for various issues and underwent preventative care prior to being cleared for adoption. One of our pugs underwent heart worm treatment, another had a broken femur, underwent surgery, and had to spend quite some time at the vet while she recovered, and our forth pug had to be flown from El Paso where he was found to have a broken jaw/ broken teeth and a degenerative spinal disorder. Three of our pugs have been also been blind. PugHearts never blinked an eye and accepted all of them with open arms. They had wonderful foster homes and a home visit was conducted (with reference checks) prior to their placement in our home. I now volunteer and foster for PugHearts whenever I am able to because it is an honor to be part of such an amazing organization.

Our first experience adopting through PugHearts was in 2014. Since then, we have adopted 4 other pugs. They are an amazing group of volunteers who genuinely care for the pugs and one another. They are an excellent example of how all successful nonprofit animal rescues should be run.
