I think that it is vital that programs Like Girls Who Venture exist. My experience with the program was motivational. I had the opportunity to work with girls who typically aren’t exposed the kind of content provided by GWV. These are girls who come from underrepresented communities and thus they are not always exposed to entrepreneurship, let alone venture capital. I believe that as GWV expands, especially throughout the US, we will see a shift in these overlooked communities where more and more of the girls will pursue careers in tech and other STEM careers simply because they were made aware that they exist. GWV fills an educational void that the traditional school system cannot.
