H.O.A.M. Hope On A Mission is a city of Poughkeepsie based non-profit that offers an outreach to the Homeless by providing food, clothes, and basic supplies each week. I joined the group 2 Christmases ago and I've increased volunteering each Saturday. HOAM provides food on the street, each Saturday morning and night! This can only happen with the communities support. In Freezing temperatures' we've luckily had donations that allowed HOAM to rent space for a few hours to keep warm over Breakfast. Most of the individuals helping, will make Breakfast or Dinner and serve on the streets of Poughkeepsie, as long as it's warm outside you'll find us on the corner of S. Clinton & Main St each Saturday. HOAM was started by CaraMia Bacchiochi, years ago for struggling drug addicts, women and men and the homeless. My experience has been incredibly rewarding.
