Many years ago I tried to volunteer with another rescue that I had adopted from. That experience left a little bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. Then I ran across PugHearts. They will tell you to just show up to events and jump in. They were correct. I showed up to one of the garage sales they did to raise money. Every single person there was very warm and welcoming. Then I found myself showing up more and more to events around town. Then next thing I knew I was helping with transports from here to there. A little more time passed and I was able to foster. Then I failed, and ended up keeping my little Dragon. Through the years that I have been associated with this group I have seen people come and go, though they may leave for what ever reason, they are still a part of the family. This group does so much work to help the pugs in need, but they also support the volunteers. They go above and beyond even when they don't have to. Started off volunteering, failed at fostering, but ended up knowing some of the greatest people this world has to offer.
