PugHearts pug rescue is one of the best run dog rescues in the country. The dogs I have adopted are completely vetted and so loved by their fosters. This group is well organized, knowledgeable, and very caring. PugHearts is top notch!

I became a volunteer for Pughearts in 2018. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that Pughearts of Houston Pug Rescue is one of the best rescues in the country. I feel very blessed to be a part of this caring group of people. They truly live by their motto, “Any pug, at any age, in any condition, anytime!” As a foster for Pughearts I have seen and experienced so many life changing pug rescues. My current foster, Sybil, is 14. Her story is just one of many. Sybil was rescued by a group of Pughearts ladies that drove HOURS to rescue a group of pugs from a puppy mill. Poor Sybil was filthy, had an eye ulcer, an ear infection, nails that were so long that they crossed over each other, and mouth of only 3 (yes, 3) rotten teeth. But the saddest part, she didn’t know what it meant to be loved. Fast forward to today. Thanks to Pughearts and generous donations this girl is beautiful and healthy. She now knows what it means to be loved—-and will follow you all through the house to get it! Meet the lovely Pughearts Sybil! (aka Sybie, Sybs, Ole Lady, Sweet Love) She is truly thankful for Pughearts and it’s donors!
