This is an incredible nonprofit. To my knowledge, they are the only clean water organization that has a 100% success rate with their wells. The majority of clean water wells are built by organizations that do not factor in the needs of the community, and their efforts oftentimes lead to well failures and more difficulties for the community. Well Aware is different. Their model is built around empowering the community, and truly partnering with the community, so that well aware serves the needs of people on their community's own terms. The staff is an incredibly dedicated group of people that I have loved volunteering with as well. They are always available to educate volunteers and interested contributors to find ways to be involved in the organization. The organization is very candid and transparent with their funding, and I truly feel that my donations are being utilized to create impactful change on a global scale. If you're looking to get involved in an organization that also provides a community of supporters to connect with, this is the place for that.
