My name is Ebenezer Oko Arthur, a final year BSc. Civil Engineering student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi- Ghana and a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship Scheme.

Educational Pathways International (EPI) intervened in my situation in the 2nd year of my education when hopes were almost lost. A boundless financial burden was wholly taken off my family. EPI did not only completely take over my family’s financial responsibilities but also represented my family in their duties in and out school.

EPI does not only support me financially, but has developed all aspects of my entire life both on campus and after school. I have been part of this family that have helped improved my social wellbeing. I have had the chance of being steered as to how to realize my ambitions. EPI family has not only been about financially supporting students but I can positively brag of the intermittent seminars organized to nature us into individuals who will be the next generation of problem solvers. Stressing on few seminars I have attended includes Entrepreneurship, CV Writing, Goal Setting, Interview guide, Report Writing, Public Speaking among others. These and such other interesting topics have undeniably helped me to be superior in anything I take part.

Moreover, I have learnt about giving back to society regardless how insignificant the help may be. Vacation internships I enrolled in made me understand that I do not have to be powerful before I effect a change or solve public problems and impact on others in my society and beyond. This is an experience that will make me think and care about society in the near future. EPI has been an amazing experience since I joined this family. My hope of being an Environmental Engineer is almost recognized and I am ever ready to give tremendously back to my country and society.

I have been able to go through my undergraduate programme more easily because I had more time to focus on my academics and other aspect of my life.

Educational Pathways International is not just an organization, it is a family and I am proud to be part of it.
