The beauty of the Spikenard Honeybee Sanctuary will always remain with me. I aspire to take care of the land and the bees in a manner similar to the care taken at Spikenard. I had the pleasure of attending a weeklong workshop for teachers in the summer of 2019 that touched me deeply. Many of the conversations I shared confirmed a deep respect for all species of bees including the honeybee. The lessons and the Spikenard philosophy surrounding caring for these animals resonated deeply with me. One of the few bright spots of the COVID-19 pandemic is that I can attend more Spikenard offerings using modern technology connecting me to a wonderful community of people who care deeply for the planet. Thank you for helping me "bee" a better caretaker of the bees. I look forward to many more opportunities to continue my learning.
