I was highly effected by the pandemic. It hit as I was in the process of moving to an apartment off-campus, and all 3 of my roommates were laid off. I barely had enough money for rent, and didn't know how we were gonna afford groceries. NSCS gave my a $100 scholarship for COVID-19 relief, and my roommates and I bought a month's worth of food. I know $100 doesn't sound like a lot, but it was the difference between a full fridge and going hungry. I am beyond grateful for the opportunities NSCS has granted me and having my back however they can.
