After 10 years of into intravenous drug use, 5 failed rehab/half way house/program attempts and 12 jail visits I finally accepted that my fait would be “jails, institutions and death” if I didn’t make a change but I had hit a point of hopelessness. I had tried every way possible to quit just like I had tried every way possible to use without having to face the consequences that came with it. Neither one ever lasted very long before failing miserably. I don’t come from “money” nor do I have insurance so I thought that getting into a program that would actually be able to help me was next to impossible but a family member told me about SLA and at that point I was willing to do anything as long as I could just get help so I googled Sober Living America, called the help center number that is on the websites main page and after a 5 minute phone call i was accepted into the program with no money down, all I had to do was get a bus ticket to the greyhound station closest to the campus and once I arrived there on the bus then staff picked me Up immediately. I’ve been here for 3 months now and this place has truly changed/saved m life. I couldnt recommenced this place enough to anyone seeking help with addiction.
