My son had been battling cancer for a year. He was diagnosed a week after his 5th birthday. He had a small bday party but he wasn't feeling well and we didn't know why. He didn't enjoy it and then the next week I found out why. My son was diagnosed with leukemia and had a very hard year. A friend of mine told me about a few ladies he knew and that I needed to contact them. Well it turned out it was called a shelter for cancer families. They helped us for Christmas and I had no idea they were because I put in an application to celebrate something special and we chose to do his 6th birthday. They do celebrations and have apartments to stay at if you need a place in between. They threw my son the best Batman birthday a kid could have. They also have helped my best friend whose daughter has cancer too. She is from out of state and they provide shelter for them. My family is so thankful for all the help they have provided all the way around. They are some beautiful people who run this!!!
