Review for Meals on Wheels of Durham, Inc., Durham, NC, USA
We moved to N. Carolina in 1989. As we got settled, I was introduced to M.O.W. through a bulletin in our church. I first volunteered around 1993-1996. I then returned to graduate school, and I sadly had to take a leave of absence. This non-profit is people oriented, and it provides a tremendous service to the community. The longer routes at times can seem like they take forever, so partner with a friend. There are also intermediate and shorter routes as well. By participating in M.O.W., you will provide a hot meal and encouragement to a person in need.
