Review for Red Creek Wildlife Center Inc, Schuykl Havn, PA, USA
The only part of this story I was thankful about was that they apparently gave the one bunny antibiotics it needed. Otherwise I’m very disappointed. They gave us different stories about the bunnies, wouldn’t allow us to help or let me stand back during the release, they wouldn’t allow them to be released on the old farm land where they came from (even Commissioner Hoover agreed to that being the best idea for the bunnies). After Commissioner stepped in, I guess Peggy got all upset and decided to no longer respond to our calls or messages. She even blocked me on the page. So whether she lied to us (and said they were doing good and still there) or to the commissioner and told him they were already released (that means they were only there 5 days, between one receiving antibiotics from an abscess and them getting use to being “wild” after being in contact with 5 cats, dog, and people for 2 weeks, ONLY 5 days prior)...which was WAY too soon to have released them. They WONT tell us the true story and are now AVOIDING us! They said we were going to at least receive a photo or video and NOTHING. Peggy deleted comments and the review I gave on Facebook. The only reason they have 5 stars is because she deletes the negative ones. Even though Commissioner Hoover stepped in for the two bunnies to be released on the old farm land safely, Peggy still insisted to do it her way. Here I sit STILL not knowing how the bunnies are doing nor if they are still at the center or if they were released..and I have no answer to give to my autistic brother. I will never take another animal to this place again ..I saw many other wildlife centers that actually have hearts and keep people, that took the animals in or helped the animals, in touch/updated with the progress. I was even told by someone who helped out at the center that they do things she don’t agree upon and she stopped going..she also said that the owner and workers are very rude/negative. As I hope and worry that Fuzzy and Wuzzy are doing ok, I hope Peggy gets the karma she deserves.
