I volunteered with VIN last October, participating in their Raising Peace Campaign (a Women's Empowerment project). VIN staff were welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful. For my project, I teamed up with another international volunteer, two local volunteers, and two managers from the EU Aid program. One time, it took us an hour to walk up the mountain to reach a school where we would do a workshop, but it was a fun long walk where I was able to engage in meaningful conversations with my team members. Overall, it was a good volunteer and learning experience for me.
