Last summer my husband and I visited St.Joseph’s Indian School as part of a driving adventure through ND & SD. We attended the PowWow in September. The school opened its campus to donors for tours, student demonstrations of powwow dancers, and an inspiring powwow with students dancing & playing drums. We met dorm parents, teachers, and students. We loved it!! All members of the school community love their mission and the children. SJS is a place of love, caring, and commitment. We have donated to the school in recent years & will continue as long as we can. The many letters, pictures of the children, stories about the school activities make us feel a part of this much needed school for Native American children. Our visit confirmed what we had already decided about SJS. Its fundraising efforts are fruitful and well worth every cent we send. May God bless them in their work.
