Humane Society of the US came to our door. We donated a $40 check. The Humane Society then set that up as a recurring donation without mentioning it! The next month was another $40 debited. DO NOT DONATE AT ALL TO THIS ORGANIZATION. They call this a face to face campaign and once your account is entered you will be billed every month.
This is stealing. Will never donate again to this organization. The representative on the phone laughed when I said I gave her a check. She said there is no check number so it couldn't have been. Then she said the volunteers that came to the door could use my check and I should call my bank and pay for a stop payment on that check. More expense on my part.
