Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Educational Pathways International (EPI) has been a great pillar in my life since I joined this great family in October 2019. Since I joined EPI, it has helped kept me on my toes in terms of my academics due to the requirements supposed to be attained to be part and remain a part of this family. EPI has also aided me in terms of my finances with respect to school fees, residential fees, books, and stipend for my general upkeep as compared to when I was not enrolled in this scholarship where times were extremely hard for me as a student which affected my life a lot but now due to the support of EPI, I am able to learn with a sound mind devoid of any thinking about my finances. Even though I had parents my education could not be supported by them since they are faced with financial challenges. By the grace of God, EPI showed up and awarded me a comprehensive scholarship which has made my life on campus easy and it has given me a sound mind to concentrate on my studies and get better grades required by the scholarship.

Even in times where things weren’t normal due to the COVID-19 our EPI Director occasionally checked up on us encouraging us to cope with the new online module of studies and constantly reminding us to be safe. For me just that gave me a sense of belongingness. It motivated me to study harder whiles at home even though there were challenges such as distraction with home chores, internet connectivity issues and many others. Also, EPI has equipped me with subsidiary skills through certain topics we were taught last year such as public speaking, interviews, and the requirement of internship, made me get more experience when schools were closed. I got to work with a finance department of City of Refuge Ministries which enhanced my knowledge in my field and made me handle more practical work aside what was taught at school. These, and many others have made me really appreciate EPI for the good work and support in many lives like mine.

The reason why I pursued BSc. Administration is to achieve my main goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant. It is also to help the weak feminine in the society to gain good financial grounds which helps reduce the high rate of women depending on their husbands. This will help reduce high rate of abuses suffered by some women from their husbands due to their dependence on them, which further goes to reduce poverty in the nation. Aside my dream of being a Chartered Accountant there are several job opportunities offered immediately after school which can earn me some income to take care of my parents and aid in the education of my younger sisters and to help make my family of good financial standing.

After my completion of my first degree, I will further take my professional courses to gain my Accountancy certificate which will aid my dreams of coming into fulfillment. However, I will not dedicate all my four years just for another schooling because taking these professional courses take about three to four years. I will be working alongside schooling in any company or institution that offers a job within my degree qualification being it government or private institution. Also, I stay in a community where there are a lot of children who face difficulty in education and I occasionally help them by teaching them anytime I am on vacation and it will continue even after I complete school. I know how frustrating it is to learn without any aid so I have taken it upon myself to constantly teach them and help them in whatever way I can in terms of their academics which in the long run will boost the literacy rate of the nation and help in building the nation Ghana.

Finally, I want to commend EPI for their big hearts and their good deeds in touching a lot of lives which would have been wasted due to financial difficulties. It is my desire that EPI grow to become great and ascertain greater heights.

Before becoming an Accountant after gaining my first degree, I plan to get employed and accumulate some money to take care of my parents and my younger siblings.

I am also hopeful that before I complete my four-year program it is my goal to also get a certificate in some professional courses which I would run alongside my first degree. This will easily aid in the achievement of my goal.

Finally, I want to thank EPI again for their good work and the impartations they continue to impact in a lot of lives. I personally thank EPI and it is my desire that they will flourish and ascertain the best.
