Rosemond Dabo is my name. A final year Nursing student at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale, Ghana. I am a beneficiary of Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship. I had the scholarship in my second year when life hit me so hard that I felt my education has come to an end. Through EPI scholarship program, hope came for me. A new chapter opened in my life. I strongly believe my dreams and aspiration in life are on the verge of coming to pass.
Being a part of this scholarship scheme has been a great opportunity. An area of great impact in my life. A platform where I have met different people in life. My circle has been widened and network has been built with different people. I have learnt various skills, attitude and my confidence built up through this scholarship programme. How to present one’s self in interviews, public speaking, presenting one’s self, cultivating the right habit of savings, preparing for the life after school. EPI has kept me on my toes in my studies. I study with a free mind not thinking of any debts to settle. My greatest fear of not being useful as the first born is no more because EPI has become a great inspiration to me and my siblings and the people in my community.
My first degree, a prerequisite to pursing Anesthesia, a professional course which I have always dreamt of becoming has been successful through EPI. I strongly believe it is a stepping stone to achieving my dreams. My strongest desire of helping individuals who feel life has come to a standstill to achieve a dream and find grounds in life. Myself as a beneficiary is a testimony that every dream is achievable with determination. Even though I am not there yet I believe I will get there to offer a helping hand to others to get there and make the world a better place for us all.
My sincere gratitude to EPI for this great opportunity through my first degree education.

I am in the person of Rosemond Dabo. A third year Nursing student in the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana and a beneficiary of the Educational Pathways International (EPI) scholarship.
EPI has really impacted my life in diverse ways since I got the opportunity to be part of this family. The leadership skills we are taught, the need to take up roles in the society, right conduct to put up and the advice we are given, the numerous pieces of skills and training which are taught in our seminars and conferences has really shaped my life. The Nursing programme I am currently offering, is a stepping stone to the Anesthetist I have always dreamt of becoming. That is obtaining a BSc. degree in Nursing, obtain a certified Registered Nurse license, practice for a year and further pursue a master’s degree in anesthesia and gain a certified registered nurse anesthetist license to practice as an Anesthetist. Having at heart the need of brilliant but less privilege and hopeless children in my society, I strongly believe I will be able to help them attain greater heights and achieve their goals. My dream of building an Orphanage home for the hopeless and children on the street.
I call EPI a God-sent. Despite the financial challenges my family faces which always stirred up a thought in my head that my dreams and aspiration were shuttered and that I will drop out of school, EPI came to my rescue. Being the first born of two other siblings whose lives are somehow dependent on me and having the need of helping others reach their goal in life, I thought they were impossible because of the challenges I was facing. These responsibilities I feared I would not be able to perform now I strongly believe I can because of EPI. This pandemic that hit the entire world which caused us to stay home for about 10 months has not been easy but very educative and a time of learning new ideas. Within those periods, I helped my parents at home and learnt a bit of other concepts on my own. Not forgetting the online examination to complete those courses we studied which was a great experience and successful.
I study with joy and peace of mind and have been saved from a lot of stressors. My parents have been relieved of the huge financial burden for my educations. I am grateful to EPI for the joy, relief and peace to study. I have hope that my dreams and aspirations will become a reality because EPI gave me the opportunity.

Rosemond Dabo is my name. I am a student of the University for Development Studies in Ghana, offering BSc Nursing and currently in year two.
I consider Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship Program to be a God-sent financial aid to me in my life as it became a source of hope to my family and I at a point where all hope was lost. Before I had the scholarship scheme in November, 2019, my family was finding it very difficult to cater for me in school. There was this other side of the story that I might have even dropped out of school. But, thanks to EPI I am still in school and without a single worry as to how I will pay for my fees, accommodation, books and cater for myself and even my family.
Moreover, EPI through their general meeting that I attended not long ago I learnt how to write a CV, the need to save for the future, with determination I can achieve all my dreams. EPI has not only solved my immediate issues but has also given me the hope that I can surely become the Anesthetist I dream of becoming one day. I deem it a great privilege and responsibility to save the lives of my fellow humans in the near future.
But had it not been EPI, there would have been no iota of hope that the dream can be achieved. It is also my utmost dream and desire to help the less privileged and the needy. Before I had the scholarship, I used to wonder whether it is possible to contribute my quota through my dreams. But now, I have no doubt that I can and I will, it is all because EPI has given me a chance to make an impact in the future.
A very big thank you to EPI for the great opportunity given to me. I am highly grateful.
